“Yet you, LORD, are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.”
—Isaiah 64:8
Hello, my name is Kristin.
I’m a wife and mother of three, a writer, singer, worshiper and child of the one true God and his son Jesus Christ! He has freed me from my chains and has adopted me into his family, crowning me with his love and compassion, and restoring the broken, shattered places in my heart with beauty and gladness. Through tough circumstances, God has been training me to fight the good fight of faith and to utilize spiritual armor and the authority of Jesus to wage warfare against the devil’s schemes. He wants to do the same for all his children, and I share my story with the hope that it will help others to stand strong in faith and overcome with God’s help!
It is my joy and purpose to speak life into dark, dead places, awakening hope and infusing the love of Jesus into hearts and minds through sharing the message of the Gospel in the breath and power of the Holy Spirit. My desire is to see the Kingdom of God spread as He adopts his precious sons and daughters into his family, filling them with his love and acceptance as well as cleansing, purifying, strengthening, training, and empowering them for service in his Kingdom.
You may have noticed a pottery theme: the Bible makes a number of references to the Father as the Potter and we as his clay. This is why I love the theme and kintsukuroi, the Japanese art form of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with gold, silver, or platinum. This method treats breakage as an enhancement of the vessel rather than something to disguise. To me, the lines of gold represent the hand of God beautifully redeeming our lives when we give him all our shattered pieces.
No matter what life experiences or depth of challenges you have endured, God is a faithful Restorer and Redeemer! He is also resourceful, and will not let any of your pain go to waste as he works all things together for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). If you give it to him, he will mold, shape, and use you as a vessel for his glory! Hallelujah!
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”
—2 Corinthians 4:7
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
—Psalm 139:14
